Auditions for BPYT's Fall Production

will be Saturday September 13th & Sunday September 14th from 10am until 2pm. Last group accepted at 1:30pm. Callbacks will  be Tuesday & Wednesday September 16th and 17th from 4pm to 6:30pm.

 

Auditions will be held at the Walter D. Ehlers Community Recreation Center.

Everyone is asked to sing, so please prepare a song in your range.
An accompanist is provided for those with sheet music, or you may bring karaoke style tape or CD, which does not have a vocal track. A short dance routine will also be learned so comfortable attire and footwear is suggested. The entire audition process could last from 1 to 2 hours dependant on the number of auditionees in each group.

5 to 8 year olds are invited to audition and will be considered for acceptance
into the "Buena Park Youth Theatre Juniors". Program tailored specifically for this age range.  In addition to learning 2 songs and choreography designed just for them, ‘Jr.’s’ will also be taught theatre etiquette and stage direction at a basic level. Jr. program auditionees must  also be prepared to sing, (musical theatre material for Jr’s. is not required, and songs like: ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’, ‘Happy Birthday’ or ‘Jingle Bells’ are perfectly acceptable) as well  dance (fun movement!) in order to be considered for this program. Openings are Limited.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 4 to 6:20pm, Wednesdays from 4 to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

 

 Performances will be held at the Buena Park High school performing arts complex. There are eight performances. The dates of performances will be November 28th.29th and 30th and December 5th, 6th and 7th. See map to the left.

 

Any conflicts with rehearsal, tech or performance schedules must be presented at time of audition.

Parents are required to assist in production process through various volunteer assignments.
